Ο Κωνσταντίνος Αβραμίδης είναι Λέκτορας Αρχιτεκτονικής και Τοπίων στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου. Αποφοίτησε από την Αρχιτεκτονική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, ολοκλήρωσε πρώτος με άριστα το Μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα Αρχιτεκτονική και Σχεδιασμός του Χώρου στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο και εκπόνησε Διδακτορικό στον Αρχιτεκτονικό Σχεδιασμό στο University of Edinburgh ως υπότροφος του Edinburgh College of Art.
 
Έχει διδάξει εκτενώς στην Ελλάδα και τη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, πιο πρόσφατα στο Drury University και το University of Portsmouth, ενώ σε αναγνώριση της επιστημονικής προσέγγισής του στη διδασκαλία του απονεμήθηκε ο τίτλος του Fellow από την Ακαδημία Ανώτατης Εκπαίδευσης του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου. Οι μελέτες του έχουν διακριθεί – με σημαντικότερα τα πρώτα βραβεία στους διαγωνισμούς ‘Κοζάνη x4’ και ‘Επιμελητηριακό Μέγαρο Θεσπρωτίας’ – και έχουν εκτεθεί διεθνώς, μεταξύ άλλων στην 8η Biennale Νέων Ελλήνων Αρχιτεκτόνων στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη. Η έρευνά του έχει παρουσιαστεί σε συνέδρια – σε ιδρύματα όπως τα TU Delft και ICA – και έχει δημοσιευτεί σε διάφορα βιβλία και επιστημονικά περιοδικά, όπως τα διακεκριμένα City και Design Journal.
 
Ο Κωνσταντίνος έχει προσκληθεί να παρουσιάσει την έρευνά του και να συμμετάσχει σε κρίσεις σχεδιαστικών εργαστηρίων στην Architectural Association, το University of the West of England, το Cardiff University, το University of Liverpool και το Newcastle University στη Βρετανία, το TU Berlin στη Γερμανία, το Stockholm University στη Σουηδία, το McGill University στον Καναδά και το University of St Thomas στις ΗΠΑ. Είναι συνιδρυτής του περιοδικού έρευνας αρχιτεκτονικού σχεδιασμού Drawing On και υπήρξε κύριος επιμελητής του Graffiti and Street Art: Reading, Writing and Representing the City (Routledge, 2017).

Profile Information

Konstantinos Avramidis is a Lecturer in Architecture and Landscapes at the University of Cyprus. He holds a DipArch from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in Architecture and Spatial Design from the National Technical University of Athens with distinction, and a PhD in Architecture by Design from the University of Edinburgh, where he was awarded the Edinburgh College of Art scholarship.
 
He has taught extensively at various institutions in Greece and the UK, most recently at Drury University and the University of Portsmouth, and was granted Fellow status by the British Higher Education Academy in recognition of his scholarly and reflective approach to teaching and supporting learning. His designs have been awarded – winning, among others, two 1st prizes in the Greek national architectural competitions ‘Kozani x4’ and ‘Thesprotian Chamber’ – and exhibited internationally, including the 8th Biennale of Young Greek Architects in Benaki Museum. His research has been presented at conferences in prestigious institutions, such as TU Delft and ICA, and published in books and journals, including the distinguished City and Design Journal.
 
Konstantinos has been invited to lecture on his research and/or participate in design reviews at the Architectural Association, University of the West of England, Cardiff University, University of Liverpool and Newcastle University in the UK, the TU Berlin in Germany, Stockholm University in Sweden, McGill University in Canada and the University of St Thomas in the USA. He co-founded the architectural design research journal Drawing On and is the principal editor of Graffiti and Street Art: Reading, Writing and Representing the City (Routledge, 2017).
