Βασικές σπουδές στο Πανεπιστήμιο Kean του Νιού Τζέρσεϋ, ΗΠΑ, από το 1970 έως το 1974 με ειδίκευση στην Ψυχολογία και την Αγγλική Γλώσσα και Λογοτεχνία. Μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο Πανεπιστήμιο Rochester της Νέας Υόρκης, ΗΠΑ: Μάστερ στην Εφαρμοσμένη Γλωσσολογία (1974-1976) και Διδακτορικό στην Ψυχογλωσσολογία (1976-1978).Προτού προσληφθεί στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου το 1991 ως το πρώτο του μόνιμο μέλος ΔΕΠ, εργάστηκε στο Αμερικανικό Πανεπιστήμιο του Καϊρου (ως Επίκ. Profile Information

Undergraduate Studies at Kean University (New Jersey, USA) from 1970 to 1974: Bachelor of Arts with Honors, Majors in Psychology and English Language and Literature. Postgraduate studies at the University of Rochester (New York, USA): Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (1974-1976) and Ph.D in Psycholinguistics (1976-1978).Prior to joining the University of Cyprus in 1991 as the first tenured faculty member, he has held academic positions at The American University of Cairo (as Assistant Professor of Psycholinguistics), the King Faysal University (as Associate Professor of Linguistics), and the U.A.E. University (as Associate Professor of Linguistics).
