Προπτυχιακές σπουδές στο τμήμα Ιστορίας και Αρχαιολογίας του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (1999-2003). Μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο Courtauld Institute of Art του Πανεπιστημίου του Λονδίνου (MA στην Ιστορία της Τέχνης, 2004-5, και PhD στην Ιστορία της Τέχνης, 2005-10). Έχει διδάξει ως ειδικός επιστήμονας στο τμήμα Ιστορίας και Αρχαιολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου (2007/8).
 
Είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής Ιστορίας της Δυτικής Τέχνης στο Τμήμα Ιστορίας και Αρχαιολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου, όπου διδάσκει από τον Ιανουάριο του 2011.
Μεσαιωνική τέχνη και αρχιτεκτονική στην Ευρώπη. Η τρέχουσα έρευνά του επικεντρώνεται στη γοτθική αρχιτεκτονική και γλυπτική στη Γαλλία και στη Λατινική Ανατολή. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, τα ενδιαφέροντά του περιλαμβάνουν την ιστορία της γοτθικής ναοδομίας, τις χρήσεις του χώρου στους μεσαιωνικούς ναούς, καθώς και την αλληλεπίδραση τελετουργικού, αρχιτεκτονικής μορφής και 'ιερής τοπογραφίας' στον ύστερο Μεσαίωνα.

Profile Information

Undergraduate studies at the Department of History and Archaeology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece (1999-2003). Postgraduate Studies at the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London (MA in Art History, 2004-5, and PhD in Art History, 2005-10). He has taught as special scientist at the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Cyprus (2007/8).
 
He holds the position of Assistant Professor in the History of Western Art at the Department of History and Archaeology, University of Cyprus, where he has been teaching since January 2011.
Medieval art and architecture in Europe. His current research focuses on Gothic architecture and sculpture in France and the Latin East. More specific interests include the history of Gothic church building, the uses of space in medieval ecclesiastical edifices, as well as the interplay of ritual, architectural form and 'sacred topography'.
