Profile Information

Undergraduate studies at the University of Bristol (BA in English with Greek Literature, 1997) and graduate studies at the University of Reading (MA in the English Renaissance: Politics, Patronage and Literature, 1998; Ph.D. in English Literature, 2002). She has previously taught at the University of Reading (2001), Frederick Institute of Technology (2002-04), the University of Cyprus as Visiting Lecturer (2004-06) and the University of Nicosia (2006-08).
 
Early modern literature and culture, especially: early modern utopias; the discourses of friendship in early modern England; early modern political theory (with a special focus on theories of sovereignty); seventeenth-century poetry, sociability, and cultural exchange; the literature of the English revolution; Ben Jonson and the 'Sons of Ben'.
