Content: Integer Quantum Hall Effect in conventional heterostructures and Quantum Anomalous Hall Effect in Graphene. Topological Insulators and Dirac and Weyl Semimetals in a magnetic field, exotic magnetoelectric properties (with appearance of magnetic monopoles), Fractional Quantun Hall Effect and Composite Fermions. Wigner Crystal in 3- and 2-Dimensional Condensed Matter, Competition with Laughlin Liquid and with Fractional Quantum Hall Effect States. Paired Electronic States and the Passage to Exotic Superconductivity. Bubble and Stripe Phases in Higher Landau Levels.

 

Assesment: Based on 3-4 projects
