Students enrolled in the Biodiversity and Ecology Ph.D. degree must complete 80 ECTS in postgraduate courses from a list of Restricted Elective Courses (see Postgraduate Prospectus) and attend the Postgraduate Seminar series of the Department (BIO 800-803) for at least four semesters.
Incoming students who already hold a Master’s degree in a relevant scientific area can be exempted for up to 60 ECTS of coursework.
Students can choose to perform their doctoral research in one of the Departmental Research Laboratories in consultation with the head of each lab.
