Προσωπικό Προφίλ

Ο Δήμος Χαρμπής πραγματοποίησε τις βασικές του σπουδές στο Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο (ΕΜΠ), από το οποίο έλαβε Δίπλωμα Πολιτικού Μηχανικού το 1994. Απέκτησε Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα Ειδίκευσης στη Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων (MBA) το 1999 παρακολουθώντας διαπανεπιστημιακό πρόγραμμα σπουδών του ΕΜΠ και του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Το 2003 αναγορεύτηκε Διδάκτορας Μηχανικός του ΕΜΠ έχοντας εκπονήσει διατριβή σε θέματα Υπολογιστικής Μηχανικής. Ως μεταδιδακτορικός ερευνητής συνεργάστηκε με ερευνητικές ομάδες στο ΕΜΠ και στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Innsbruck (Αυστρία) κατά το διάστημα 2003-2005. Από τον Αύγουστο του 2005 είναι μέλος του ακαδημαϊκού προσωπικού του Τμήματος Πολιτικών Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Περιβάλλοντος του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου, όπου τώρα κατέχει θέση Αναπληρωτή Καθηγητή.

Profile Information

Dimos Charmpis obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering (5-year course) from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in Greece (1994). He also received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from NTUA and Athens University of Economics and Business (1999). He then earned a Ph.D. degree from NTUA (2003) after completing a thesis on topics in the area of Computational Mechanics. As a postdoctoral researcher he worked together with research groups at NTUA and University of Innsbruck (Austria) during 2003-2005. In August 2005 he joined the University of Cyprus, where he is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
