Welcome to the web pages of the Department of English Studies, a vibrant and intellectually stimulating Department with a reputation for excellence in teaching and research.
The Department is offering a three-track undergraduate program for a BA in English Studies, which allows students to specialize in Anglophone Literature and Cultural Studies, Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, or Translation Studies.
We also offer several postgraduate degree programs at the following levels: a) MA (MA in TEFL, MA in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, and a newly designed and soon to be launched MA in English Studies) and b) PhD (with programs in the fields of Literature, Linguistics, and Translation).
On these pages, you will also find the academic profiles of our faculty members, with details about their research interests, activities, and publications. These, as well as the various degree options offered by the Department, will be regularly updated over time. Further, our webpages will provide updates on the conferences organized by faculty members, the very successful series of talks held as part of our Departmental Forum, as well as information on the research laboratories and research groups that run as part of the research programs faculty members have attracted.
If you are a prospective student, we are looking forward to hearing from you and will assist in any questions you may have.
