Στο Τμήμα Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων και Δημόσιας Διοίκησης διδάσκουν ακαδημαϊκοί με μεγάλη εμπειρία τόσο στη διδασκαλία όσο και στην έρευνα σε θέματα που περιλαμβάνονται στο προτεινόμενο πρόγραμμα σπουδών. Επίσης, οι ακαδημαϊκοί αυτοί έχουν μακροχρόνιες συνεργασίες με ερευνητικά δίκτυα, πολύ χρήσιμα στο Πρόγραμμα. Το Τμήμα αξιοποιεί τους/τις συναδέλφους αυτούς/ες, για να προσφέρει στους φοιτητές και τις φοιτήτριες την ευκαιρία να μάθουν.

Ταυτόχρονα, το Τμήμα φιλοξενεί εμπειρογνώμονες από το εξωτερικό, οι οποίοι διδάσκουν τα διάφορα εξειδικευμένα κομμάτια της Δ.Α.Δ και μοιράζονται τις γνώσεις και τις εμπειρίες τους με τους φοιτητές και τις φοιτήτριες το Προγράμματος. Αυτά τα άτομα προσφέρουν τόσο την εξειδικευμένη τους γνώση όσο και μια διαπολιτισμική προσέγγιση στη μελέτη και τις εφαρμογές της Δ.Α.Δ.

Τέλος, το Τμήμα έχει αναπτύξει δεσμούς με επαγγελματίες της Δ.Α.Δ τοπικά, οι οποίοι/ες ηγούνται των επαγγελματικών εργαστηρίων του Προγράμματος. Αυτά τα άτομα προσθέτουν αξία στο Πρόγραμμα εκπαιδεύοντας και βοηθώντας τους φοιτητές και τις φοιτήτριες του Προγράμματος, να εφαρμόζουν βέλτιστες πρακτικές Δ.Α.Δ. με αποτελεσματικό τρόπο σε ποικίλα οργανωσιακά περιβάλλοντα.

Prof. Eleni Stavrou-Costea

Eleni Stavrou-Costea is Professor at the University of Cyprus. She has taught at the George Washington University (USA) and was a founding member and the Director of Programs and Operations of the Center for Family Enterprise at the same University. She has been involved in various projects in the US, including developing a standardized pay and benefits structure for the financial division of organizations, researching the needs of the Academy of Management personnel division and designing a database to increase efficiency, and on a one-year consulting project with Tiffany & Co, New York, on human resource management needs.  

Her work has been published in various outlets, such as book chapters and conference proceedings, as well as in a number of international scientific journals, such as Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of International Business Studies, Human Resource Management, British Journal of Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Business Ethics and Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice.

She serves as a management organizational consultant and trainer on issues related to human resource management and family business succession.

Dr. Daina Nicolaou

Dr. Daina Nicolaou is a mentor at the Centre for Entrepreneurship of the University of Cyprus. She is also a registered ISO Quality Assessor and a certified trainer by the Human Resource Development Authority. Additionally, she has the Postgraduate Award of Professional and Academic Practice of the University of Warwick. She holds BSc in Public and Business Administration, MBA and PhD in Strategy, Marketing and Management.

Daina teaches Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Management and Research related courses since 2003 at several institutions both in Cyprus and abroad. She has also worked for the Ministries of Labour and Social Insurance and Education and Culture, in Cyprus.

Her research on employee behaviour and performance metrics has been presented at prestigious conferences abroad.

Dr. Christiana Ierodiakonou

Dr. Christiana Ierodiakonou is a Lecturer of management at the University of Cyprus, teaching HRM, OB, diversity management and business communication. Her research interests include work life balance, flexible work and careers from a gender perspective.

She currently does research on social inequalities and their manifestations in the labour market and the society, exploring issues related to gender, sexuality and other aspects affecting individual working lives. She has presented her work in various international conferences and published in journals such as Human Resources Management, The International Journal of Human Resources and the British Journal of Management.

Dr. George Kassinis is an Associate Professor of Strategy at the Department of Business & Public Administration of the University of Cyprus, where he teaches strategic management to graduate and undergraduate students. He was educated at Princeton University (MA, PhD), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/MIT (Master in City Planning/MCP) and Cornell University (AB and BS). His research focuses on the strategic choices organizations make in dynamic environments and the implications of these choices on competitiveness and performance.

Specific research interests include: corporate social responsibility; sustainability; corporate governance; social entrepreneurship; energy; health care management; social networks; industrial ecology. He taught at Princeton and MIT as a graduate teaching fellow, held research positions at Princeton and consulted for the World Bank and a variety of private, public-sector, and non-profit organizations, in Cyprus and abroad.

He is a founding member of the research Group on Organizations and the Natural Environment (GRONEN), serves on the editorial boards of various academic journals, chairs the Entrepreneurship Council of the University of Cyprus, and serves on the board of the Research Promotion Foundation (Cyprus). His research has been published in leading journals, including The Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Strategic Organization, The Journal of Business Ethics, The Journal of Business Research, Industrial and Corporate Change, Production and Operations Management, and in edited volumes and handbooks.

Orfeas Stavrou is a founder of Evalion-SHL Cyprus and Evalion Maritime, supporting organizations to improve their HR processes through consulting, provision of psychometric tools and other services. Furthermore, he is the instructor of some of Evalion's training courses like ''Psychometric Tools'' and ''Career Guidance for teenagers and adults''.  He holds a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Business Psychology.

Mr Stavrou is a tutor at the MSc in Business Psychology of Metropolitan College and teaches the course of Personnel Assessment & Development which covers topics like: Competency Models Design, Psychometric Tools, Structured Interviews, Assessment Centers, etc. His teaching approach is more practical, using engaging exercises from real-life scenarios.

On the academic side, my main research interest is the analysis of human behavior usually with the use of scientific assessment methods.

Dr Irene Nikandrou is Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management (HRM) at the Department of Marketing & Communication of the Athens University of Economics & Business (AUEB). Since January 2018, she is the scientific coordinator of the Career Office of the University.

She has a wide teaching experience both in the academic field and in business, where she teaches Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Positive Organizational Scholarship and Training and Development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is a member of CRANET project team in Greece and GNOSIS 2020 network. She has done extensive research in the field of HRM and OB and her current research interests focus on the fields of positive organizational scholarship, art-based learning and career management. Professor Koen Dewettinck is partner, MBA director and professor of HRM at Vlerick Business School.  He obtained his Master’s in Organizational Psychology and PhD in Applied Economics at Ghent University. He has been an ICM doctoral fellow and was research fellow at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University.

His main teaching and research interests are employee motivation, performance management and strategic HRM. He is also director of CEPP, the Centre for Excellence in People Performance, in which he collaborates with public and private companies. As academic director, Koen is also responsible for the EMBA programmes at the  Ghent and Leuven campus.  He is a frequently asked speaker on HRM, performance management and people management topics, across the globe.

Dr. Marianna Makri

Dr. Marianna Makri is an Associate Professor of Management and teaches courses in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and  Family Business at the undergraduate and graduate level. She received her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Arizona State University and M.A. degree in Mathematics from the University of South Florida.

She joined the University of Miami in 2003 and has published in the areas of corporate governance and innovation management. Her more recent work focuses on family firms as a unique form of ownership. Before entering academia she worked as a research analyst for Critikon and more recently she has served on the advisory boards of ChronicDB, Rafinco and the Council for Accountable Advertising.

Dr. Maria Vakola

She is the co-founder of a newly created international forum for psychology of organizational change (IFPOC) aiming at bringing together researchers of this field. Dr. Christos Nicolaides is a Lecturer in Information Systems at the Department of Business and Public Administration at University of Cyprus (UCY) and a Digital Fellow at the Initiative on the Digital Economy at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Before joining UCY, Christos was working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT Sloan School of Management funded by the James McDonnell Foundation. His research focus on applying mathematical, statistical and computational tools to large-scale empirical and data driven research questions with applications in identification of social influence that is mediated, amplified, or directed by interactive technologies.

She currently works as a Researcher on the programme ‘Developing Equality Allies: An Innovative WorkplaceInclusion Programme’ (funded by the Research Promotion Foundation, Social Innovation, Cyprus Restart Programme 2016-2020) and teaches at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, University of Cyprus. Richard Croucher is Professor of Comparative Employment Relations and was until recently Director of Research, at Middlesex University Business School, London.  He is Visiting Professor at Cranfield School of Management and Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian National Business School. 

He has acted as consultant to companies such as McBride, Volkswagen and Kellogg.  He is co- author of the major HR textbook HRM: a Case Study Approach  published by the Chartered Institute of  Personnel and Development. He is a member of the editorial committee of the British Journal of Management. He has published over one hundred articles in leading journals including Journal of Management, Human Relations and Industrial Relations. He has carried out research funded by the International Labour Organisation, the UK Low Pay Commission, the Leverhulme Trust, the Economic and Social Research Council, the Nuffield Trust and other bodies.

Nancy Papalexandris is Professor Emeritus in Human Resource Management and founder of the MSc Programme in Human Resource Management of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).  She has served as Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Personnel at her University for the period 2001-2007.

She has studied Business Administration and obtained a Master’s Degree from New York University and a Ph.D. from the University of Bath in the U.K. She has taught at the undergraduate and post-graduate programs in AUEB and in various E.U. Universities. Also she conducted post-training and management development seminars in Greece and abroad. She has served as University evaluator and PhD examiner in various Universities outside Greece.

She has published books and articles in esteemed international journals and has organized and participated in many international conferences. She is member of the editorial board of various academic journals and President of the Greek Association of Women University Professors.

Dr. Alexia Panayiotou is Assistant Professor at the University of Cyprus. She has also worked at Harvard University (USA) as a teaching and research associate. Her research interests include the representation of management and organizations in popular culture; organizational paradoxes; organizational space and symbolism; gender and work; feminist analysis of organizations; and visuality and organizational narratives. Her work has appeared, amongst others, in Organization, Management Learning, and the Journal of Management Inquiry. Her article "Paradoxes of Change" (co-authored with G. Kassinis), received the 2016 Best Paper Award in the Academy's Organizational Development and Change (ODC).  

Alexia has also served as expert in various for a and organizations on gender, employment and social inclusion. In 2014 she gave a TedX talk titled "Beyond a Binary World" for the Limassol event "Everything you Know is Wrong," which highlights some of her research interests and findings.
