STE(A)M IT: THE NEW REFERENCE PORTAL ON INTEGRATED STEM EDUCATION!

STEAM IT website GIF

We have some exciting news for the STEM education sphere! With the launch of the new STE(A)M IT portal, schools, teachers, career advisors, industry representatives and policymakers have now a dedicated space to work together on promoting innovative and integrated approaches to STE(A)M education!

The new STE(A)M IT portal will gather a community of experts and provide tools and guidelines to ensure that future citizens will be ready to tackle any issues in society, in a collaborative, critical and efficient way!

What can you find on the STE(A)M IT portal?

Tools and guidelines for educational stakeholders
To get students to see the interest of STEM degrees and careers, STE(A)M IT will provide schools, teachers, and career counsellors with ready to use materials! On the website, users will be able to explore the 7 integrated STEM Learning Scenarios for Secondary education (12 – 16 years old) and 4 for Primary education (6 to 11 years old) created by the STE(A)M IT focus group teachers!
Users will also have access to a repository of STEM jobs profiles and guidelines on how to present STEM jobs in classrooms!

STE(A)M IT is more than just a catalogue of resources!

It is a collaborative environment and a platform for exchange for actors of STEM education in Europe. As the project progresses, teachers will have the opportunity to collaborate, ask for best practice and advice, and share their experience about developing integrated STEM teaching materials. As for career advisors, they will be able to use the network of career advisors’ space as a mean to exchange and increase their understanding of emerging STEM careers and the skills needed for these careers.

The 1st European integrated STE(A)M reference framework for policymakers and schools
STE(A)M IT is an Erasmus+ project which aspires to create the first reference framework for integrated STE(A)M education in Europe! Based on research on the topic and the contributions from the project stakeholders, STE(A)M IT will develop, test, and define the 1st reference framework for STE(A)M education.
